Nicholls & Cooke is an established and respected business who provide an essential service to the glass, glazing and construction industry. We succeed through innovation and constant product development.

As well as manufacturing the UK’s widest range of window and lintel support systems we also offer a complete welding service conforming to the BS EN 287-1 standard. We specialise in structural and load bearing products but also fabricate items ranging from foot scrapers for the horticultural and agricultural markets to railings and gates for builders and developers. Our client base stretches from private individuals and small building contractors to national PLCs.

Our renowned and patented Bay Poles are accepted by many in the industry as the strongest and simplest solution to load problems encountered when fitting replacement windows.

We believe this is the only system that carries a genuine load certificate for the whole pole in its entirety, and each pole is individually certificated with an information label indicating the Safe Working Load. Strength, stability and ease of fitting are the core elements of our pole design.

Our core business is based around our Ring Beam system. It is a product that solves the age-old problem associated with conservatories. In many instances conservatories do not work. Without sufficient and expensive climate control they can become far too hot in the summer and far too cold in the winter. Condensation can also become a major cause for concern, especially if located near a kitchen.

With the application of our ring beam a conventional roof can be fitted above a continuous wall of windows. Not only does this retain the same panoramic advantages of a conservatory but also it utilises the insulation properties of a standard roof. This means that a far more stable environment is created throughout the year. This creates many environmental advantages over a conservatory. Less energy is needed to heat and cool the room so less power is required. Not only does this mean it is cheaper to run but also less carbon is produced and from this, less waste energy.
